Nuad Boran
( Thai Yoga Massage )
A holistic health maintenance therapy
for people of all ages. This modality is also effective in the management
of chronic pain and many other conditions.
Techniques are very adaptable to varying
needs of clients—athletes to couch potatoes, those in need
of gentle handling or those in need of the most intense deep tissue
therapy.
Thai bodywork treatments are performed on a floor
mat. The client wears comfortable clothes. The “classic”
traditional Thai treatment generally lasts 1.5 hours.
Advanced techniques can extend a Thai massage to
2 or more hours,
or the session may be abbreviated where shorter may be more appropriate
to the needs of the client.
Some have described it as yoga being done to you.
Although, if desired the yoga may be left out of the treatment,
completely.
The Thai practitioner’s hands, feet, forearms,
knees & elbows apply:
acupressure, reflexology, compressions, applied yoga & deep
gentle passive stretching, to awaken stagnate energy, and remove
negative energy from ‘blocked or broken’ sen meridian
lines.
Some causes of sen line blockages and breaks are
over & under exercise, trauma, strains, sprains, injuries, fatigue,
stress - physical & mental, poor posture, repetitive activities,
illness & disease.
Some indications for Thai massage are: aches &
pain - acute or chronic, swelling, sensitivity, numbness, muscle
knots, stiffness & soreness, lack of flexibility and muscle
imbalance.
Stagnate & negative energy is replaced with
vital energy, increased circulation of blood & lymph, flexibility
& increased range of motion, grounding, balance, relaxation
and improved posture.
This ancient technique can relieve pain, aches &
stress of shoulders, arms, legs, hips, back, neck and head.
Thai massage tones internal organs, the pelvic floor
and opens up the rib cage.
Nuad Boran quiets the mind and provides many benefits
of yoga, exercise & massage.
Thai bodywork is also excellent for active &
athletic individuals.
For performance training, pre-event injury protection & post
event recovery.
Thai massage is a great adjunct for those undergoing
detoxification programs. It assists in elimination of toxic buildup
& metabolic waste in the body’s tissues.
After the session you feel relaxed and invigorated
as if after a good healthy workout and massage.
You will breathe more fully & healthful.
